On February 10th, the True Fellowship lodge was transported back in time, becoming an 18th century English country manor filled with brilliantly dressed lords and ladies out for an elegant evening of music and movement.
On January 24th, the candidates for the San José District 6 open seat race to replace outgoing council member Dev Davis met together at True Fellowship 52, along with several dozen uncommitted voters, to discuss their policy ideas and qualifications addressing the most pressing issues for district and city residents.
For District 107, 2023 was the year of the return of live degrees. We initiated candidates in January, February, and May. Several of them received their first degree from Mountain View in March, June, and August. A huge class of candidates from throughout the district received their second degree at Saratoga in September, and finally, 11 candidates received their third degree at True Fellowship on November 29th.
On Sunday, November 19th, at the Cow Palace Arena in San Francisco, members of True Fellowship, Mountain View, Cupertino, and Saratoga lodges, together with their friends, entered the enchanting world of Charles Dickens’s London, not as it was, but as it ought to have been. This year, the True Fellowship Lodge was pleased to award the Badge of Merit, one of the highest decorations a lodge can bestow, to three members whose service has been truly above and beyond the duties of Odd Fellows in service to their lodge and their community.
True Fellowship held its end of summer barbecue on Wendesday, September 13th, and EVERYONE was invited. Quite a few of them even showed up!
On August 12, True Fellowship played host to a birthday party for Andrew Crockett, which doubled as a fundraiser for the film “Reenactress.” Over $5000 was raised, and a wonderful time was had by all who attended.
On July 18, Mason and Debbie happened to be driving through Virginia, and midway between New Market and Baltimore, they came upon the beautiful little town of Warrenton, where the Odd Fellows of Charity Lodge #27 were just about to have their meeting. On Wednesday, June 7th, True Fellowship #52 welcomed Zoe Timmerman, the new district deputy for district 107, and Michael Greenzeiger, PGM of California and Zoe’s acting Marshall. At the meeting, Debbie Wolf was installed as the new Vice Grand.
