March 27, 2024
Join the San Jose Oddfellows host our monthly hamburger fry on the last Wednesday of every month from March through October, starting at 6PM. For the month of March, we have something extra special planned after our long winter absence - a free movie!
Following the meal, we'll be screening a new documentary that's been hailed as one of the most important films of our time - Join or Die. Based on the research of Dr Robert Putnam, world-renowned social scientist and author of Bowling Alone, the filmmakers examine the causes and consequences of our 50-year long social unraveling, and meet some of the people and groups working to restore the sense of connection in their own communities. Along the way, they sit down with some of the most influential individuals of our era and find out what the current epidemic of loneliness really means for ourselves, our society, and our national identity.
The meal is just $10, but the film is free. If you'd like to register for the film, go to the Film Night page.
